How does it feel to skydive?
Many believe that skydiving feels similar to a freefall attraction on an amusement park, which isn't quite accurate. Due to the horizontal velocity when exiting the airplane you don't quite get that sinking feeling in your stomach.
Jumping from a hot air balloon or a helicopter will give you that sinking feeling though.
How long is the freefall?
The freefall lasts for about 50-60 seconds, and the parachute is deployed at an altitude of 1700 meters, which gives you a total freefall distance of about 2300 meters.
After your freefall, you can look forward to an exciting canopy ride with a wonderful view for about 5-10 minutes before landing on the ground.

Can you breathe while skydiving?
There's absolutely no problem breathing during freefall. However, due to stress and adrenaline while in the door at 4000 meters – some people forget to breath.
Can I wear glasses?
Yes. Glasses fit under our protective goggles.
Can my friend who's accompanying me buy a drop-in jump on site?
This can usually be arranged. Let us know immediately upon arrival that you have more people that want to jump. Even if it's fully booked, we can often sort it out with some reshuffling and a little extra waiting time.
The best course of action is obviously to convince your friend to join you far in advance, and book him in at the same time! 🙂

Can I add photo/video on arrival?
It can usually be arranged but we cannot guarantee that there are photographers available if you don't book this in advance.
If you want to be certain that your experience is caught on video make sure to book this beforehand.
Can I bring my own Gopro or camera during the skydive?
Unfortunately, we don't allow any type of personal camera or mobile phone on the jump. For everyone's safety, tandem passengers aren't allowed to bring anything with them in freefall. If you'd like to have photos/video of your jump then you are welcome to choose it as an option when reserving the day/time for your jump.
Can we bring our own picnic?
Yes, you can bring a picnic basket (but no alcohol) and use any of the picnic tables we have on the grounds. There´s also a nice grassy area where you can spread out a picnic blanket and watching all the jumpers land.
Can I specify a different contact person when booking the tandem jump?
Yes, it is possible to specify a different person as the contact for your reservation. However, it's very important that all contact details are correct as we send a text message (SMS) two hours before the arrival time with information about whether the jump will go on as planned or if it needs to be rescheduled. Also make sure that they fully understand our reservation procedures and how to travel to Gryttjom.
When is the best time to skydive?
Impossible to say, a crisply clear Friday in September in Stockholm can be just as fantastic as a brilliantly warm Sunday in August in shorts or a partly cloudy Tuesday in June.
Is there an age limit for skydiving?
The minimum age is 12 years old with parental consent. There is no upper age limit.
