Skydive Stockholm is one of Sweden’s largest and oldest skydiving clubs, located 40 minutes from Uppsala. The club offers skydiving for both beginners and experienced jumpers.

Named “Stockholms Fallskärmsklubb” (SF) in swedish, in order to make things easier for our international visitors, it has also been called “Skydive Stockholm” since 2021.

A third name, mostly used internally and around Sweden, is “Gryttjom”. Gryttjom is the town where the club is located, and it is common for other Swedish skydiving clubs to be referred to by their location as well. For example, Söderhamns Fallskärmsklubb is commonly called “Mohed”.

History

Skydive Stockholm was founded in the 1950s and has since been a central hub for skydiving in Sweden. Over the years, the club has trained thousands of skydivers and hosted many different events and competitions.

When the club was first established, operations and the dropzone were located in Stockholm, hence the name “Skydive Stockholm”. For various reasons, the club could not continue operating in central Stockholm, and after a few years, it relocated to Gryttjom.

Training and Courses

The club offers a variety of training programs, from beginner courses for those who have never jumped before to advanced courses for more experienced skydivers. We also offer tandem jumps, where beginners can experience a skydive alongside an experienced instructor — with no prior experience required.

Location

The club is based in Gryttjom, a dropzone approximately 1.5 hours by car from central Stockholm or 40 minutes from Uppsala. Gryttjom is one of the most well-known skydiving locations in Sweden and attracts jumpers from all over the world.

The dropzone in use today is a former military base. If you look closely, you can see bunkers scattered around the club, which were used for protection against attacks.

Safety

Safety is a top priority at Skydive Stockholm. We follow strict safety regulations and have experienced instructors supervising all jumps and training programs.

Over the years, Skydive Stockholm has established itself as a respected and well-regarded club within Swedish skydiving and continues to attract both local and international jumpers.
