Invitation to the Open Swedish Championships in Freefall Disciplines and Canopy Piloting

And the 7th round of the ISSA World Cup Series

About the event

PURPOSE

The competition aims to crown Swedish Champions and set national records in Freefall disciplines and Canopy Piloting, as well as to develop and spread information about skydiving in Sweden.
The competition will also host the 7th round of the ISSA World Cup Series.

The Open Swedish Championships seeks to facilitate the exchange of experiences and strengthen friendships among skydivers in parachute clubs across Sweden and the rest of the skydiving world.

Check-in and warm-up jumps: July 28, 2025
Competition days: July 29–31, 2025

COMPETITION SCHEDULE
(Can change due to weather and other factors)

  • Check-in day: Monday, July 28 – Check-in from 09:00 to 18:00

  • Team leader briefing and draw: Monday, July 28 at 19:00

  • Competition days: Tuesday, July 29 – Thursday, July 31

  • Competition start: Tuesday at 09:00 (may be adjusted based on weather)

  • Jump hours on competition days:

    • Tuesday, July 29 and Wednesday, July 30: 09:00–20:00

    • Thursday, July 31: 09:00–18:00

    • Last lift departs no later than 18:00 on Thursday, July 31

  • Awards Ceremony: As soon as possible after the final round of each discipline has been completed, judged, and the two (2) hour protest period has expired.

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

To qualify as a Swedish Championship/Nationals (SM):

  • Individual disciplines: At least 6 competitors from a minimum of 2 different clubs

  • Team disciplines (at least two members per team): At least 4 teams from a minimum of 2 different clubs

To qualify as a Junior Swedish Championship (JSM):

  • Individual disciplines: At least 4 competitors from a minimum of 2 different clubs

  • Team disciplines: At least 3 teams from a minimum of 2 different clubs

To qualify as a Regional Championship (RM):

  • Individual disciplines: At least 3 competitors from a minimum of 2 different clubs

  • Team disciplines: At least 3 teams from a minimum of 2 different clubs

If an announced National competition does not meet the required number of participants, it must either be canceled or held as an RM if RM participation requirements are met.

REGISTRATION

The official registration must be received by the competition organization no later than Sunday, June 29, 2025.
The organizers reserve the right to close registration early if the number of participants/teams exceeds available competition hours. The organizers also reserve the right to cancel the competition if too few teams/participants register and the budget cannot be balanced.
Late registration (after June 29) will be accepted only if space permits and will incur an additional fee of SEK 500 per team.

REGISTRATION FEE

The registration fee is SEK 750 per person for Freefall disciplines and SEK 1200 per person for Canopy Piloting.
Payment must be received by the organizers no later than Sunday, June 29, 2025.
The registration fee is non-refundable and covers competition-related expenses.

COMPETITION FEE / EVENT FEE

Each discipline has an event fee based on the number of jumps in the competition and the number of participants/teams.
The event fee is based on the regular jump price of Stockholm Skydiving Club: SEK 260 per jump.
Event fees can be paid online (via Insidan) or at the manifest desk to the jumper’s jump account during check-in, but no later than July 28, 2025.
Payments for any warm-up jumps can also be made online or at the manifest, at the standard rate of SEK 260 per jump.
Online payments are made via Insidan.
Any unused funds remaining on a jump account after the competition will be refunded upon request. Jumpers who ride the plane down without jumping will be charged for the lift.
Re-jumps are charged according to the above slot prices.

AIRCRAFT

A DHC-6-300 Twin Otter will be used, which can carry up to 22 jumpers to 4000 meters in approximately 13 minutes. The door is on the left-hand side.

Registration fee

The registration fee for the Freefall events is 750 SEK per person and for Canopy Piloting 1200 SEK per person.
The registration fee is non-refundable. It covers the expenses of the competition.
